Head Coach Lanny Williams
Coach Williams was a four-sport athlete for the Mineola High School Yellowjackets in high school. He also played four years of baseball at the collegiate level - one year at Paris Junior College and three years at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. While at Henderson, Williams was named First Team All-Conference Catcher two years with the Reddies and played in the 1991 AIC All-Star baseball game.
He continued his baseball career as a 12th round draft pick with the Texas Rangers in 1991 and played six years of professional baseball in the minors: three with the Texas Rangers and three with the Tyler WildCatters.
Coach Williams began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Tyler Junior College for two years and then coached for twenty-three years at Brenham High School. He spent sixteen years as an assistant and the last seven as the head coach, compiling a 159-80-2 record. Coach Williams comes to Cedar Park having led his team to the playoffs six out of seven years as head coach, 22 out of his 23 years of coaching baseball.
Williams prides himself on his transparency and openness with his players. Each season he tries to find new ideas and creative ways to reach his players and attends conferences and clinics in order to keep his own skills sharp as a coach.
Along with being the head coach of the Timberwolves, Coach Williams is the running backs coach for the varsity football team and teaches freshman World Geography at Cedar Park High School. His many accomplishments include being named Brenham High School Teacher of the Year in 2003-2004, Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year in 2003, Greater Houston Area All-Star South coaching staff in 2003, American Baseball Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year in 2007, a member of the UIL Baseball Advisory Committee from 2013 to 2017, District 18-4A Coach of the Year in 2014, District 19-5A Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2017, HABCA All-Star Game Head Coach in 2014 and has been selected as a THSBCA Regional Director for Region 3.
His favorite years coaching so far have been the 2009-2011 seasons when coaching in the State Tournament three consecutive years and is looking forward to making the same kind of memories here with the Cedar Park Timberwolves.
In 1996, Williams graduated from Texas College in Tyler, Texas with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in History. In 2013 he received his Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University. Coach Williams and his wife, Vickie, were high school sweethearts and have been married for 27 years. His hobbies include
fishing, playing the guitar, riding his road bike, working out, reading and hanging out with other coaches and friends. The Williams’ have two daughters, Britney and Jordyn. Britney is employed with the Texas Department of State Health Services in Austin as a Program Specialist. She and her husband, Ken, live in Round Rock and have a two year old son, Royce and one on the way, due in May. Jordyn, a senior at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, is studying elementary education.

Assistant Coach Matt Kuykendall
Coach Kuykendall is entering his fifth year coaching at Cedar Park. He also teaches government and economics at the high school. Coach Kuykendall is a product of Waxhaw, North Carolina, where he played both baseball and football. After graduating, he attended Campbell University and then continued his education at East Stroudsburg University where he received both his BA and MA in History Education.
Before coming to Cedar Park, Coach Kuykendall worked at Midland Lee High School in Midland, TX.
Assistant Coach Mike Cockerill
Coach Cockerill is entering his 5th year of coaching and second year here at Cedar Park. He teaches World History at the high school. He was born and raised in Austin, Tx, but attended Holland High School, where he played football, basketball, baseball and ran track. After graduating, he attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Tx where he received his BA in History.
Before coming to Cedar Park, Coach Cockerill worked at Merkel Middle School for two years, and Lago Vista High School last year.
Assistant Coach Cesar Rosales
Coach Rosales is in his second year coaching at Cedar Park. He also teaches AVID 1 & MAPS at the high school. Coach Rosales is a product of Hays High school in Buda, TX. Where he played football and ran track. After graduating, he attended Texas State University where he received his BA. He received his masters from Concordia University.
Before coming to Cedar Park, Coach Rosales worked at John Tyler for 2 years, Victoria West for 1 year & Crosby High School for 6 years.
